Pam Glennie is a Contemporary Scottish Artist and Textile Designer based in the Outer Hebrides. Pam was born on the south west coast of Scotland and is a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art. Encouraging and artistic parents and an early career in design, forged a love of colour, whilst her individual style of painting developed naturally over time with experience. Her original paintings have been shown in leading galleries throughout Scotland and the UK.
Inspired by the colour and light of the Scottish Islands, Pam relocated with her husband to Port of Ness in the Isle of Lewis in 2020, a small coastal village perched on the Northern tip of the Outer Hebrides. It is here that she is able to focus on painting the vast windswept beaches, coastal machair and fleeting clouds and selects aspects of her work to create colourful, painterly and textural effects on natural and sustainable fine fabrics.
