I have always created art and have sold work at Callanish in the past but I always wanted to learn more, so in my 40's I decided to go back to college but there were no art courses on the island so I had to go to Inverness. In my year at Inverness UHI I gained many new skills including a variety of print styles, life drawing, observational drawing, painting, felting, digital and sculpture. I later went on to enrol at University of Wolverhampton to study BA Hons fine art, but as I wanted to do sculptural work I changed my study to BA Hons glass and ceramics. Sadly covid disrupted my studies but I still left with a 2:1. Since moving back to the island I have focused on painting, photography and sculpture until I get a kiln to create new glass and ceramic pieces.
